Course and Student Fees
CE&WD Fees Definition
CE&WD course and student fees are additional charges that vary by course and program and are assessed to support both instructional delivery and the overall student experience. These fees may cover course-related supplies; equipment and equipment maintenance; course-specific software and technology; clinical placements, field experiences, and field trips; special materials or instructional support; registration processing and student identification cards; use of college facilities and equipment; institutionally provided technology and instructional/support services; campus safety and security; student life activities (including workshops, student clubs and organizations); Completion Celebration related; and access to the Fitness Center.
Lifelong Learning Exception
Fees associated with Lifelong Learning classes are limited to the direct costs of course delivery, such as instructional materials, facilities usage, and basic administrative support. These fees do not provide the same level of access as other CE&WD programs and typically exclude eligibility for student identification cards, student life activities, use of the Fitness Center, and Completion Celebration related services, unless explicitly stated in the course listing.
Refund and Drop Processes
To receive a full refund, students must notify the Registration Office before the first class begins. The day before the class start date is considered the official drop date. Students who neither attend nor officially drop a course will remain responsible for all tuition and fees.
For classes that run four (4) weeks or longer, students who wish to drop during the first week of class should contact the Program Director or Coordinator for assistance.
Students who do not drop a class before the start date must submit an Appeal for Refund Form, available through the Registrar鈥檚 Office, to request a refund. The appeal must include:
- A brief explanation of the reason for the request, and;
- Supporting documentation, if applicable (such as medical records, employer letters, or military documentation).
Refund appeals will only be considered for extenuating circumstances that prevent student participation.
For additional details, please refer to the Tuition Refund and Appeal Policy for Classes.
Cancellation Policy
第一吃瓜网 College reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment. If a class is canceled, every effort will be made to notify registered students as soon as possible.
Students will receive a 100% refund of tuition and fees, issued by mail. Please allow at least two (2) weeks for refund processing.
Class cancellation decisions are based on enrollment numbers, so early registration is encouraged to help ensure classes can run as scheduled.
Senior Citizen Tuition Waiver
Maryland residents who are 60 years of age or older may be eligible for a tuition waiver for select classes. At the time of registration, senior students are responsible for paying any applicable course fees.
Registration Confirmation
Registration confirmations are not issued. Please review your class schedule through student self-service and attend classes at the dates and times listed.
Request for Accommodations
Requests for accommodations should be made at least three weeks in advance of the class start date.
