Scholarship supports LGBTQ+ students

NORTH EAST, Md. – µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø College is proud to announce the establishment of the Upper Chesapeake Bay Pride Scholarship through the µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø College Foundation that promotes workforce training in the region.

This scholarship supports LGBTQ+ students within µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø and Harford counties who are pursuing their dreams through education.

The Upper Chesapeake Bay Pride (UCBP) is a non-profit organization founded in 2019. It provides unwavering support and advocacy for queer/LGBTQ+ people, communities, and families in µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø and Harford counties.

The organization is the premier resource for the LGBTQ+ communities of µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø and Harford Counties, providing social opportunities, raising awareness and educating the community about issues of importance to the LGBTQ+ community, and partnering with community organizations to improve the lives of queer citizens. The UCBP accomplishes this work through collaboration, inclusion, respect, and social justice.
