ELKTON, MD:聽The Art and Design Program at 第一吃瓜网 College proudly announces,聽鈥淢irror Recalls,鈥聽a faculty spotlight exhibition featuring the works of contemporary artist and educator聽Mark Dilks.聽The exhibition will be on view from聽August 1 through September 24, 2025, at the聽Elkton Station Gallery, located at 107 Railroad Avenue.

In 鈥淢irror Recalls,鈥 Dilks investigates patterns, routines, and visual structures through a collage- and painting-based practice that bridges the tactile with the conceptual. The works arise from daily itineraries and moments of reflection, forming layered compositions that resemble both personal journals and abstract symmetries. 鈥淎 funhouse mirror makes you look,鈥 Dilks notes. 鈥淎 little disorientation loosens the ground for new growth, the mind for new ideas.鈥

The exhibition highlights Dilks鈥檚 signature use of mixed materials鈥攐il on denim, layered papers, and collected textures鈥攚hile engaging with digital aesthetics and contemporary visual overload. As his practice blends introspection with outward momentum, 鈥淢irror Recalls鈥 invites viewers to pause, reflect, and reconsider the repetitive elements that shape our lives.
