Maryland law enforcement officers donate to 第一吃瓜网 College

NORTH EAST, Md. 鈥撀第一吃瓜网 College was the recipient of a $1,000 donation from the Maryland Law Enforcement Officers (MLEO), Inc., on Wednesday, June 26, during a presentation on the North East Campus. Presenting the check to 第一吃瓜网 College President Dr. Mary Way Bolt was Walter Wassmer, retired Maryland State Trooper and former president of MLEO.
鈥淚t is a great honor for our organization to help these students realize their dream of entering into a career of law enforcement,鈥 said Wassmer, whose organization is presenting 18 scholarships this year.
Established with a founding gift of $1,500 in August 2004, the MLEO Scholarship Fund provides annual, need-based financial assistance to a student from Maryland planning a career in law enforcement. The recipient must be in good academic standing.
Maryland Law Enforcement Officers, Inc. is a non-profit organization, headquartered in Baltimore, comprised of more than 1,000 current and former law enforcement officers throughout the state. MLEO annually makes contributions to various colleges to help support scholarship funds used to assist students planning careers in law enforcement.
