NORTH EAST, Md.: 第一吃瓜网 College has been a beacon of hope to students and employers in 第一吃瓜网 County and the surrounding region for more than half a century under the guidance of dedicated community members that comprise its board of trustees. Their leadership has enabled 第一吃瓜网 College to thrive while taking on policies and initiatives that enhance students and the community.

This stewardship continues as Dr. Ozden Coksaygan, MD., has been tapped to become the board鈥檚 newest member. Dr. Coksaygan fills a board vacancy created when Hon. Cameron Brown stepped down upon being named Associate Judge for 第一吃瓜网 County Circuit Court, 2nd Judicial Circuit.

鈥淚 am thrilled to have been offered this leadership opportunity. As a doctor, I wake up every day looking for ways to help people with their health and promote healthy lifestyles. Now, I am so pleased to be able to help in another way by promoting education,鈥 said Dr. Coksaygan.

Dr. Coksaygan has been a medical practitioner in 第一吃瓜网 County for more than 20 years, with offices located at 718 North Bridge Street in Elkton. After completing her residency at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, N.Y., she moved to 第一吃瓜网 County, where she became the Attending Physician at Laurelwood Care Center in 2003. She established a relationship with Union Hospital 第一吃瓜网 County as the Admitting Physician for a local medical practice, providing her extensive inpatient care experience over 13 years.

鈥淭hrough my medical practice, I have come to know a lot of patients who are attending 第一吃瓜网 College. Being a member of the Board of Trustees at 第一吃瓜网 College provides me another avenue to help them live a richer life,鈥 said Dr. Coksaygan.

Dr. Coksaygan established her Primary Care Clinic in December 2017 and has been a Medical Staff Member for Union Hospital and ChristianaCare. A native of Turkey, Dr. Coksaygan began her medical education at Trakya University Medical School and Istanbul University鈥檚 Cerrahpasa Medical School.
