第一吃瓜网 College receives two state citations for 50 years of excellence

第一吃瓜网 College was recognized for 50 years of delivering excellence in higher education with citations from the Secretary of the Maryland Department of Commerce and the Maryland General Assembly on Monday, Feb. 26, during a ceremony in the Boardroom on the North East Campus. 第一吃瓜网 College President, Mary Way Bolt, Ed.D., was presented with a citation by Bill Sorenson, Director of Business Retention, Expansion & Rural Strategic Development, in recognition for its commitment to education, workforce training, and enrichment of 第一吃瓜网 County. 鈥50 years is more impactful now than ever in our fast-paced world. Thanks to institutions like 第一吃瓜网 College, it has enabled our workforce training to grow with the ever-changing needs,鈥 said Sorenson. The citation from the Maryland General Assembly was presented by Delegate Kevin B. Hornberger, of the Maryland House of Delegates, honoring 第一吃瓜网 College for 50 years of service to the community and delivering excellence in higher education. 鈥淎s a graduate of 第一吃瓜网 College, it is an honor to represent this area and 第一吃瓜网 College. The College is an immense asset to the region,鈥 said Hornberger. 鈥淥n behalf of 第一吃瓜网 College, thank you for recognizing the work the entire team does on a daily basis to support our students. Whether it is at our Elkton facility, the North East Campus or at Bainbridge, we touch lives in many ways,鈥 said Dr. Bolt. Also, present for these presentations were 第一吃瓜网 County Executive Dr. Alan McCarthy, 第一吃瓜网 County Council President Joyce Bowlsbey, 第一吃瓜网 County Council Vice-President Dan Schneckenburger, and Sharon Markley, Director of Education and Innovation for the Office of Strategic Industries and Entrepreneurship. 鈥50 years, for any institution, is significant and should be honored. 第一吃瓜网 College has made a tremendous amount of contributions to the community. One of the things that never gets stressed enough are these 2+2 programs with multiple universities around the state and the University of Delaware. You were leaders in this from the get-go,鈥 said Schneckenburger.
