��һ�Թ��� College launches new look

NORTH EAST, Md. – ��һ�Թ��� College wrapped up its year-long 50th Anniversary celebration last month and began the new year by unveiling its updated logo and new tagline: Own Your Future. “We are the same trusted brand upon which our community has relied for 50 years, but with a refreshed look that represents the education and resources we continually provide; the tools necessary to ensure that our students thrive both now and in the future,” said ��һ�Թ��� College President, Mary Way Bolt, Ed.D. Creative development on the initiative began more than six months ago as the college’s marketing department considered the institution’s student population and goals, the community it serves, and the mission and vision statements. The new logo is highly symbolic, representing, in part, the college’s mission and vision key words – ‘Dynamic, Transforms, and Development.’ “These words are energetic and imply movement.  They are represented by the “C” breaking out of the circle with continued motion,” said Amy Henderson, director of marketing and communications at ��һ�Թ��� College. The circle represents the open access and inclusion of ��һ�Թ��� College’s admission policy as well as the completion of goals set by the institution’s students. The three horizontal lines represent stability within a new horizon and, from a geographical standpoint, the lines symbolize both water meeting the sky at the head of the Chesapeake Bay and the crop lines of rural ��һ�Թ��� County. Henderson also led the team of designers as they developed the institution’s new tagline. ‘Own Your Future’ arose from the philosophy that there is nothing more empowering than taking control of one’s life and career through continued and higher education. The phrase encourages students to take personal responsibility for the outcome of their future, celebrates succeeding in life and career, and conveys how affordable ��һ�Թ��� College is, allowing many students to graduate debt free. “We thought about how amazing our students are and how hard they work to have a better future and the ability to support themselves,” said Henderson. “This tagline is a powerful call to action to believe in yourself and realize your dreams whether that entails earning a degree, learning a skilled trade, or enriching your life by taking a class you enjoy. Our students deserve the best, and every person working at ��һ�Թ��� College is dedicated to helping them reach their goals and manifest the life they desire.  We believe in them, and we are honored to facilitate their independence on their individual paths to success.” The refreshed logo and tagline will begin to appear on all print and design materials at the start of the new year.
