Published on September 16, 2024

NORTH EAST, Md: The µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø College Seahawks’ athletic programs have taken flight for the 2024-2025 season with sights set on conference, regional and national athletic and academic honors. In support of the Seahawks’ efforts, the µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø College Foundation will launch its inaugural Seahawks Week of Giving Campaign, which will run from September 29 through October 5.

The goal of the Seahawks Week of Giving Campaign is to establish an endowed fund that would support athletic teams, student scholarships, and upgrades to equipment at µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø College. This year, there is an added emphasis on the replacement of the 35-year-old scoreboards to enhance the fan experience during events in the recently renovated gymnasium. The hope is to make this an annual event to grow the endowment.

Throughout the Seahawks Week of Giving Campaign, alumni and members of the six athletic programs will be advocating and helping to communicate the need for the endowed athletic fund. Scheduled dates are:

  • Women’s Basketball – September 29
  • Baseball – September 30
  • Softball – October 1
  • Men’s Basketball – October 2
  • Men’s Soccer – October 3
  • Athletic Alumni – October 4
  • Women’s Volleyball – October 5

Throughout the seven-day fundraiser, there will be numerous athletic challenges promoted on social media to help boost alumni and donor engagement. The campaign will also be promoted during the men’s soccer game on October 1 and 3, as well as the women’s volleyball tri-match on October 5.

Support for the Seahawks Week of Giving Campaign advances the College’s mission and, through philanthropy, alumni and friends are helping student-athletes prepare for lifelong success and fulfillment of their dreams.
