NORTH EAST, Md. 鈥 The 第一吃瓜网 College Athletics Department announced this week the winter sports season for the 2020-2021 academic year will be canceled.
After careful thought, consideration, and dialogue with members of the National Junior College Athletic Association鈥檚 Region XX two-year colleges, this decision was made. It was collectively decided that intercollegiate competition for the 2020-2021 indoor sports season was at 鈥渉igh risk鈥 for COVID-19 exposure and spread of infection.
The canceled sports for 第一吃瓜网 College include men鈥檚 basketball, women鈥檚 basketball, and women鈥檚 volleyball.
The NJCAA Region XX colleges will continue planning for a safe resumption of intercollegiate athletics in the spring 2021 semester. Traditional spring sports and several traditional fall sports have been moved to the spring, per the NJCAA 2021 Sports Guidelines.
